If you’re a company director or company secretary, you can use ASIC’s company officeholder portal to view and update the company’s details on the companies register.

Before you start
To use the company officeholder portal, you need to:

Corporate key
To create an account, you will need your company’s corporate key. This is an 8‑digit number that is unique to your company. You can find the corporate key:
- on the letter sent to your company’s registered office addressÌýwhen you first registered it
- on the most recent company annual statement.
If you cannot find your company’s corporate key or need to cancel it for security reasons, you can apply for a replacement:
The replacement corporate key will be sent by mail to your company’s registered office address. If your company’s registered office address is out of date and you cannot log in to change it, pleaseÌýÌýand include:
- the company’s name and ACN
- your full name, date of birth and place of birth
- your role within the company (e.g. director, secretary)
- the company’s current registered office.
If we can confirm the details you’ve provided match our records, we will contact you with information to help update your company’s registered office address. Once updated, we will issue a new corporate key to you in the mail.
Steps to sign up for the officeholder portal
Start creating your account
- Go to the .
- If you agree to the protocol select ‘Yes’. If you do not agree and select ‘No’ you will not be able to sign up.
- For the question ‘On what basis are you applying?’, select ‘as a company officeholder (directory or secretary)’ from the list of options.
Enter the corporate key for your company
Enter your company’s corporate key, then select the ‘Next’ button’.
Enter username, password and security question and answer
- Your password must:
- be 16 to 50 characters long
- include at least one lowercase letter (a–z), one capital letter (A–Z) and one number (0–9).
- For your security question, choose something you will remember the answer to. If you lose your password and forget the answer to your security question, you’ll need to create a new account.
- Enter all details and select the ‘Next’ button. A popup box will appear. Enter your username and password again, then select the ‘Next’ button.
Enter contact email address and phone number
- Choose an email address that you use often. We use this email address to tell you that we’ve sent correspondence to your online inbox in this portal.
- Enter your email address and phone number, then select the ‘Next’ button.
Declare and submit
- Fill in the declaration details, then select the ‘Submit’ button.
- You’ll see a screen confirming your request has been submitted. Select the ‘Next’ button to activate your account.

Change details for a registered business name
If you have both a registered company and a registered business name, changing details for your company will not change them on the business names register.
You must change these details separately, using the business name holder portal.
