ASIC is committed to reducing the gender pay gap and driving lasting change in gender equality.
Over the past year we have continued to close the gender pay gap. As of 31 December 2023, ´¡³§±õ°ä’s average total remuneration gender pay gap was 5.7%, down from 6.1% in 2022. This compares with the Australian average gender pay gap of 21.8%: see on the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) website.

A diverse and inclusive workplace creates a vibrant, welcoming, collaborative and innovative environment for all employees, encourages others to join ASIC, and enhances connection with our partners and communities.
This approach plays a crucial role in enabling ASIC to deliver on our vision of a fair, strong and efficient financial system for all Australians.
Looking forward
We are developing a Women in ASIC Action Plan, which will focus on a range of areas. These include:
- increasing the representation of women in information technology (IT) and data roles at ASIC
- contributing thought leadership on best practice approaches to internal mobility for women
- sponsoring development programs, and
- recognising and communicating the achievements of high-performing women.
´¡³§±õ°ä’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2023–25 is anchored in four priority areas:
- Agency – Our agency is a workplace that cultivates an inclusive culture ensuring everyone belongs, regardless of difference.
- Storytelling – Sharing the stories that make our people unique by celebrating key events throughout the year.
- Inclusion – An inclusive employee experience with a workforce that reflects the community we serve.
- Capability – Uplift the leadership capability of our people to lead in an inclusive way by engaging with difference to optimise innovation and performance.
